Topping-out ceremony celebrated at Pillar Iļģuciema Mājas

Marking the achievement of the highest point in the building’s construction, a topping-out ceremony has been celebrated at the Pillar  Iļģuciema Mājas  residential development in Riga, at Spilves Street 27 / 29.

This project continues the development of energy-efficient homes in Riga by real estate developer Pillar. Iļģuciema Mājas is already the fourth A+ energy efficiency class apartment building project developed by Pillar in Riga, and the first one in Pārdaugava.

The new project, built by Pillar Contractor, is located in Iļģuciems, at Spilves Street 27 / 29. The development consists of two seven-storey buildings with 55 apartments in each. The buildings will offer two-room, three-room and four-room apartments with full interior finishing, ranging from 47 to 86 square metres. Each apartment will include a separate utility room for convenient storage and a balcony or terrace, as well as individual storage rooms on the first floor of each building. Indoor air quality will be ensured by a premium-class individual ventilation system with heat recovery. Clients will also have the option to install an individual air conditioner in their apartment — another important improvement for everyday comfort.

With an aesthetic and safe living environment in mind, the courtyard will not only be richly landscaped, but will also include a children’s playground for diverse outdoor recreation. For residents’ convenience, the territory will include parking spaces for apartment owners, as well as parking areas with electric vehicle charging options.

On the first floor of each building, a lockable shared room will be available for storing bicycles and baby strollers, and a lockable and secured bicycle storage shed will also be built on the premises. For greater everyday convenience, the building will be equipped with a lift.

There are several kindergartens and schools in the immediate vicinity, making daily route planning easier for families with children.

The project is planned to be commissioned at the end of 2026, with the first residents expected to receive the keys to their new homes at the beginning of 2027. The total investment in the project is planned to amount to just under EUR 13 million.

So far, Pillar has built new apartment buildings in Mežciems, where a second phase is already planned, as well as in Dārzciems and Dreiliņi. A new project in Purvciems is also planned soon, with further developments to be carried out in other neighbourhoods.
